Welcome Our 3 Newest Clovers
Luke Fondren (West Alabama), Daniel Morgan (Lenoir Community College) & Benjamin Anderson (Salisbury) are the next 3 Clovers announced for 2024!
Fondren is a junior at West Alabama University from Wilsonville, AL. Luke played his first two seasons at Marion Military Institute and will now land in the bullpen for the Tigers in 2024. Last season, he appeared in 15 games and went 1-1 with 6 saves. In 30 innings, Luke struck out 28 and pitched to a 3.90 ERA. You can expect to see Fondren in a similar role with the Clovers as we have him penciled in as one of our 2 closers for 2024, alongside returning pitcher Colbie Howell.
Daniel Morgan is a Clayton native and we are thrilled to have him back at home for the summer. Morgan was an integral part of the Clayton Comets pitching staff last year as a high school senior and he had an impressive fall this year at LCC. Daniel will work in relief for the Clovers while picking up some spot start opportunities as well. Daniel is a high energy guy that fits the mold perfectly to what we have established here in Clayton.
Anderson will come to Clayton from Newark, Delaware after completing his junior season at Salisbury University. Last season, Ben batted .345 in 35 games with 4 home runs and 9 doubles. Anderson will see time behind the dish and at 1B/DH this summer in Clayton.
