Clayton Clovers acquired by Wasabi Ventures Sports Management

RAMSEUR, NORTH CAROLINA - Wasabi Ventures Sports Management has purchased a majority interest in the Clayton Clovers. Louis DeCarolis remains an owner of the team with Wasabi and will continue to serve as the General Manager and Head of Operations. 

DeCarolis commented on the transaction: “I am excited to welcome Wasabi Sports to Clayton, and I truly believe they are the perfect fit for the Clovers. Our visions aligned perfectly on how we see the organization growing with our fans and around our community. Finding a long-term home in the Old North State Leaguein 2022, and now our new ownership structure in 2024, we are right where we want to be. Under Wasabi Sports, the Clovers look forward to growing with the Town of Clayton and bringing an incredible baseball experience to the good folks of Johnston County.” 

Wasabi looks to bring expertise in business and technology to help the Clovers continue their growth in their third year. The Clovers are a perfect fit for the Wasabi model- partnering with local owners/operators with a focus on player development, fan experience, and community engagement.

If you would like to catch a Clayton Clovers game this summer, their schedule is now available. Home games will be played at East Clayton Community Park, which is located at 1774 Glen Laurel Road in Clayton, NC.
