3 Newcomers to Clayton
Your Clayton Clovers are happy to announce 3 new Clovers for the 2024 season. Pictured left to right, Jack Beck, Caiden Chilausky & Aidan Cannady.
Jack Beck is a junior at West Alabama University. He is from Ralph, AL and will be a utility player for the Cloveshow this summer. Beck can play 3B, 2B, 1B & OF but brings a heavy bat and an athletic player to the Clovers in 2024. Last season as a sophomore at Marion Military Institute, Beck batted .407 with 3 HR and 70 hits. Only striking out 16 times in roughly 200 plate appearances, Jack sported a .475 on base percentage.
Caiden Chilausky comes to the Clovers as a freshman at UNC-Asheville. The Durham native is 6'5" 210lbs and will play 3B/1B and outfield for the Clovers. Last summer, Caiden played for the Holly Springs Salamanders in the Coastal Plain League as a late add on at the end of the season where he saw action in 5 games as a high school graduate. Chilausky brings an athletic and gritty player to Clayton and we are excited to see him at East Clayton Community Park.
Aidan Cannady is yet another Fuquay-Varina High School alum to join the Clovers. The 1B/OF is a redshirt sophomore at Wake Tech after transferring from Queens University & Catawba Valley CC. Cannady played for the Greenville Flyboys in the Appalachian League in 2022 and the Statesville Owls in the SCBL in 2023 before joining the Clovers. He batted .240 in the Appalachian League, .340 last season in the SCBL and will look to continue to grow that average in the ONSL in 2024.
