2024 Beer and BBQ Festival, Old North State League Home Run Derby & All-Star Game

Clayton, North Carolina- The Clayton Clovers are proud to announce the 2024 Beer and BBQ Festival, in collaboration with the Whole Hog Barbecue Series. This event will take place June 29th, with gates opening for fans at 4:00 PM. 

The festival will have a series of events, including a field of 10-15 cooks competing to see who has the best barbeque in Johnston County. Cooks will be critiqued by sanctioned judges selected by Whole Hog BBQ, and fans attending the festival. The 10-15 teams will compete for a cash prize pool of $400 for first place, $200 for second place, and $100 for fan vote. For more information on the contest rules, signup, and timing click here. 

BBQ will be followed up by the ONSL Home Run Derby and All-Star Game at 5:00 PM and 7:05 PM respectively. The winner of the BBQ contest will be announced at 7:15 PM, with the All-Star Game resuming after the winner is crowned. 

General admission to game-day is $10 for ages 6+, with kids under the age of 6 getting in for free. Adults and kids 6+ can enjoy $20 admission to game-day plus, all-you-can-eat BBQ, and local beer tastings(21+). Kids under 6 years old can enjoy all-you-can-eat BBQ and game-day admission for $10.
